The Importance of Vitamins

Many diets today are very poor and lack the proper amounts of nutrients. Vitamins and supplements can help to compensate for what is missing. Vitamins are needed daily to grow and develop properly. The human body also requires vitamins to do many things, such as fight disease and fatigue, boost immunity and to help aid with most bodily functions.

Most people don't understand the value of vitamins. They regulate parts of your metabolism. You can consume all the right amounts of fats, carbs, and proteins, and get proper exercise, but if you are missing adequate amounts of vitamins to regulate how these are used and processed, you won’t reap the benefits.

All water-soluble vitamins (except for Vitamin C) assist enzymes that function in energy transfer/metabolism of fats, carbohydrates, and proteins. It is extremely difficult for our bodies to break down these nutrients into energy we can use without vitamins. Proper amounts of these vitamins are hard to find in food alone. Supplementation is suggested.
